We encourage applications from Icelandic and International contemporary artists working in a wide range of disciplines including visual art, film, text work, performance, sound and curating. We are open for applications for all phases - from initial research to finishing works.
Our intention is to create and facilitate temporary collectives for emerging artists to work and live together. We offer residencies of 50 or 80 days accommodating 6 artists at a time.
The program is self-organised and as a young non-profit organisation unfortunately we're currently unable to provide financial assistance for the artists in residents.
The residency fee is 150.000 ISK (approximately 1100 Euro) for 50 days and 250.000 ISK (approximately 1800 Euro) for 80 days. The residency fee covers accommodation and studio space. The 6 artists will have individual bedrooms and shared living and studio spaces. The residency fee is to be paid in advance and is non-refundable. Residents must provide for their own food, travel, and miscellaneous expenses.
Residents will be selected based on the quality of their work, commitment to their practice, and ability to interact positively with the community at large.
